Create a board

Result

A new board is created in the chosen team and opened. It is empty or contains the chosen template, and its name is visible to every participant.

Prerequisites

• You are signed in and belong to an organisation as a member.
• The organisation has at least one team.
• You are not a guest: a guest cannot create boards.

Steps

1. Open Boards in the top bar. Result: a panel with your boards and search.
2. Click New board. Result: a dialog with a name, organisation, team and template.
3. Enter a name. Result: it becomes the title of the new board.
4. If there are several organisations or teams, choose the right ones. Result: the board appears in the chosen team.
5. Choose Empty board or a template. Result: an empty board has no objects; a template adds its starting structure.
6. Click Create. Result: the board opens and its id is in the address.

Check

• The title in the top bar matches the one you entered.
• The board is findable by its name in the Boards panel.
• An empty board shows no objects; a template board shows the template's objects.
• The new board is in the Boards panel.
• The save indicator shows saved.
